We are happy to update our contribution list with an announcement that I'm now a contributing moderator at the world's largest SEO chat forum.
Another way to review the competency of Distinct SEO, other than our testimonials, is to browse my regular contributions in one of the most popular SEO industry forums online. This way you can capture a good sense of our knowledge, approach/strategy for firms online, and advice we provide free of charge as you assess our capabilities to take your web site to the next level of profit conversion.
At SEOChat you can view my profile and browse recent contributions. Go ahead, scrutinize, assess, and get back to us with any additional questions.
Part of our way of giving prospective clients an additional insight into how we operate is to provide testimonials or review from clients. In this installment we have Mark from Mac Matters in Phoenix, AZ. We worked with Mark for a few months and managed to increase his local presence to the first page for key markets. Here are some additional Mark had on Distinct SEO's service and development.
Q. Describe your experience with the Distinct SEO team.
It was quite wonderful, their team was quite knowledgeable and always VERY quick to email questions and concerns. They are very knowledgeable in what they do and they do it VERY well.

Since about January 2009 we've offered a faith-based organization some consulting time on ranking their web site for some basic local terms. The organization itself is quite small, the web site has a presence far beyond their stature. What I means is the reach for the org is far greater online than it is currently within their city (which will hopefully switch around in the future). What we've discovered through our limited help is the relative ease to outrank, in this case, churches that have been in the 'market' online for years upon years.
This tiny faith based organization called calgarychurch.ca wanted to rank for some basic terms like 'calgary church'. Makes sense. We did a few things and they did their part to write frequently. What we've seen in results is pretty encouraging. Without any web marketing budget, just through writing and some local links, the site is now 2nd (as of Dec 18th, 2009) behind the city web site on local churches.
Not bad. What does this highlight about faith based markets? Read the rest of this entry »
Distinct SEO Inc. provides more than SEO services for our clients. In fact, we do our best to distance ourselves from an exclusive SEO offering. We believe that the realm of web marketing is comprised of many crucial components, of which SEO is but a mere subset. In reality, web promotion, content development, web development, branding, and so forth, are key cogs to any online marketing strategy.
Lately, we've been rolling out some of our web development and design capabilities to our clients. We'd like to share with you one of our latest partners, a non-profit organization, who were looking for custom solution to a brand new venture. Read the rest of this entry »
Our next testimonial installment comes from Kim Straker, owner/operator of Clearwater Adventures (http://www.clearwateradventures), a Bow River fly fishing guide service here in Calgary. We first started working with Kim in the New Year (09) and have done a number of interesting things to help propel his web site higher in the search engines, but also we've made it a mainstay in the Alberta fly fishing industry online.
Here's what Kim had to say about his experiences thus far.

It's been a while that we've been able to post a public testimonial with a client we've worked with for over six months. Alas, we bring you My Nursing Uniforms, a nursing uniform web site that sells, well you guessed it, nursing uniforms! They are among the largest online retailers of nursing scrubs, we've had the pleasure of working with them since January and continue to do so.
I had a chance to ask Alan Weissman a few questions about our work with him and he was happy to provide his answers, thanks Alan!

flamesforum.com and stampedersforum.com have two things in common. Both are professional sports teams in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and both are owned by Distinct SEO. Since late 2006 Distinct SEO have been working with both, in particular FlamesForum.com.
"Being from Calgary we wanted to pick up some local sports web sites and do make a statement in the local market. We love our hometown teams and wanted to start new communities in a market that had room for new entrants," remarked Barry Nagassar, Owner of Distinct SEO.com. Read the rest of this entry »
We're always very pleased when a client agrees to offer a review of our services for visitors and prospective clients to browse. Not all clients agree to let us post a testimonial publicly so we cherish every one!
Tom Frankel is CEO of Stamford Scientific Inc. located in Poughkeepsie, NY. SSI manufactures wastewater products for treatment plants; mostly they develop, innovate, and implement bubble diffuser products. They became our client in November, 2006, and we currently still offer SEO and PPC services (three years later!)
SSI were #3919 on the Inc. 5000 for 2007!

Well it's been a while since we've posted a client testimonial! That's partly because we have consistent and longterm clients, and because some other clients rather remain anonymous (that's OK too.) Here are the thoughts from Jason, owner of Premierglow.com, another client that saw a huge difference to their bottom line after our contributions to their web marketing initiatives.
1. How did you find Distinct SEO?
I found Barry from seochat.com. Barry was an active participant in on going discussions concerning seo. He also came highly recommended by other users.
2. Describe your experience with the Distinct SEO team.
I dealt exclusively with Barry who was very informative and polite concerning our goals. He made sure we understood results don’t happen overnight, and is an ongoing process. In addition Barry always made sure to share results and ask our opinion concerning changes.
