The age old questions, to reciprocal link or not to reciprocal link. Here is a brief outline of what reciprocal linking is if you’re unfamiliar. Nowadays people are asking a different question:

The answer is obvious, of course you can. Google and Yahoo! link to each other at SOME point.
Reciprocal linking isn’t dead because naturally online this is how web sites end up linking, it just happens. What doesn’t happen is 300 casino web sites interlinking amongst each other.
Let me sum it up, going around getting links from anybody and then linking to them from your web site is a no no. Going around and reciprocal linking to all the key players in your industry/market is fine. (Keep page links to 25, if you end up have 4 or more pages of these links consider doing a ‘directory’ or ‘dictionary’ of link rather than ‘resource page.)
FYI, you should also consider switching up the anchor text as you link between web sites. This gives the impression you’re getting natural links (or at least it doesn’t look totally unnatural.)
